Best authentic Mexican-style food I've had in Western Colorado.  We've been there twice passing through and everything was delicious both times. In particular the Carne Asada and Al Pastor tacos. Every taqueria has these but Nanny's does them right.

The Huaraches are something you won't find everywhere and are a delicious twist on a fried thick corn tortilla tostada with Mexican Cotija cheese sprinkled on top.

The service is good as well.  Humberto has been our server both times and was very engaging. The cook came out smiling and asked how we liked the food in Spanish, even though I'm as Gringo looking as they come.  Luckily I remembered enough Spanish to understand and respond.  Don't miss this place if you're around Dolores for lunch or dinner.

Wow. The authentic Mexican food game is very strong here. Reminds me of some of the best Mexican food we used to enjoy living in San Diego. We came for lunch, but would surely return here for dinner. My wife enjoyed two al a carte tacos with rice, and I had the enchiladas clasica with shredded beef. Melt in your mouth fresh food here, perfect place to post mountain bike ride carbo load. Felt so good to put some warm chips and salsa in our bellies. Casual atmosphere and very friendly service. I believe the owner served us, and he was great. We will be back for sure.

Hubby & I shared a Cubano torta and posole Rojas and it was almost too much food for the two of us.... but delicious. Warm chips and thick tasty salsa arrived as soon as we sat down. Waiter was friendly and informative. Pointed out the salsa bar which we would have missed. They have all the standard Mexican dishes with some interesting variations, but I'm glad we went with their specialties. They also have a daily special and serve beer.

We love this place.  All of the food we've had there has been amazing.  No kidding, I've tried a multitude of menu options and non-menu requests and each one has been fantastic.  Everything is fresh and made on sight.  They also won the local salsa contest this Summer.  Most more importantly - Guillermo (the owner) is amazing with our kids.  We have a autistic son and Guillermo never makes us feel out of place of different when we are there.  Best service and best food around!!

Delicious, authentic tacos and fresh sauces.  Fair prices and good service. Very convenient stop on 145 north from Cortez, on the way to Telluride.
